UHCdental.com Self Service Credentialing Visibility Project - Indiana Providers
Indiana Providers are now able to see their credentialing status online through the UHCD Portal. In addition to seeing current cred status for directly contracted products, a provider can submit credentialing information, message the credentialing and network advancement teams, and be notified when recredentialing is due.
Medicaid is the Payer of Last Resort Please remember that Medicaid is the payer of last resort. This means you must bill and receive an EOB from other insurance or source of health care coverage before billing UnitedHealthcare. Unless specifically referenced in your provider manual, secondary claims must be received within six months from the date of service, even if the primary carrier has not made payment. If a claim is received for a member with alternative dental coverage and the primary remit of EOB is not attached, the claim will be denied. A corrected claim will need to be submitted with the primary payer's remit of EOB for payment to be considered; state specific timely filing rules as documented in the provider manual will apply.
